    The short version: we collect what we need to run the game and pay your winnings, we never sell your data, your bank details are never public, and you can ask us for a copy or deletion of your data at any time.

    1. What this policy covers

    This policy explains what personal data Goborr ("we", "us") collects when you use goborr.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

    2. Data we collect

    • Account data: name, username, email address and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
    • Payout data: the bank account details you save to withdraw winnings.
    • Gameplay data: your predictions, points, streaks, leaderboard positions, Circles and referral activity.
    • Usage and device data: pages visited, device and browser type, IP address, and similar technical information.
    • Communications: messages you send to support.

    3. How we use your data

    • Run the game: score your predictions, build leaderboards, settle prize pools and pay withdrawals.
    • Operate the referral programme and pay referral bonuses.
    • Send service emails such as email verification, password resets and payout confirmations.
    • Prevent fraud, multiple accounts and abuse of prize pools.
    • Improve the product, fix problems and keep the service secure.
    • Send marketing messages only where you have agreed; you can opt out at any time.

    4. Legal bases

    We rely on: performance of our contract with you (running the game and paying winnings), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), consent (marketing), and legal obligations (financial and tax record-keeping).

    5. What's public

    Your username, avatar, points, rank and winnings shown on leaderboards are visible to other players, including inside any Circles you join. Your email, real name and bank details are never shown publicly.

    6. Who we share data with

    We do not sell your personal data.

    • Payment providers and banks, to process your withdrawals.
    • Infrastructure providers that host the service and send our emails.
    • Analytics providers that help us understand product usage, in aggregate form wherever possible.
    • Authorities, where the law requires it.

    7. Retention

    We keep your data while your account is active. After you close your account we delete or anonymise personal data, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes, which we keep only as long as required.

    8. Your rights

    Under the NDPA you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy of your data in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests or withdraw consent. Email support@goborr.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

    9. Security

    Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access to personal data is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

    10. Children

    Goborr is for players aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete such accounts when we become aware of them.
